PRUDHOE PYRAMID

There are two proposals for the Prudhoe Pyramid. Both alternatives include the closure of the Middle Schools (Highfield, Ovingham and Eastwood), with the High School taking children from 11 to 18 years of age. The First Schools would become Primary Schools in some cases moving to a Middle School site.

Two proposals are made for Mickley and Broomley (Stocksfield) schools:

Option 1 - Both schools become separate 5 to 11 Primary Schools.

Option 2 - Mickley and Broomley combine to form a larger Primary School on a new site.

Directors Report (May 2004)

The Report from the Director recommends proceeding with the change from a 3-tier to a 2-tier system. It includes a proposed timetable for the changes. The proposals for the Prudhoe Pyramid are not detailed, but basically recommend the closure of the 3 Middle Schools
