In the late 19th century Eltringham was a separate parish to Mickley. The houses around Eltringham House and Farm were present. The Hare and Hounds public house was demolished in 1962 and the station no longer exists - although the remaining station cottages have been converted into a private residence. The ferry also ceased operting in the mid 20th century. Hammerite Paint Works and Eltringham Row to the west are newer developments ________________ |
