Letter From Councillor Nick Appleby

Thank you very much for electing me as your representative on Tynedale District Council three years ago and for your support. I have been given the opportunity to work as in my dream job - unfortunately it is in America so I can no longer continue to be your councillor. Therefore I have offered my resignation to Tynedale District Council. 

It has been a privilege to be a councillor for Wylam and during my stint I have pushed forward road safety and the need for a new bridge taking traffic away from Wylam and the need for a new approach to providing more affordable housing for people looking to get housing. I still have family in the village and will be keeping in touch with things in Wylam. I would like to give my full support to Tom who has been selected to stand. Tom has been a resident of Wylam all his life and is familiar with many of the issues and concerns of the village. I believe he will work hard in continuing my fight for better roads and safer traffic and will keep in touch with regular Focus leaflets.
