DEVELOPMENT CONTROL MEETINGS –‘ at last’ It is now 12 years ago that the Liberal Democrat group on Tynedale District council put forward a motion asking for the public to be allowed to speak at council meetings. Twelve years later, under government pressure, Tynedale has somewhat reluctantly moved into the 21st century on this issue. However there are strict restrictions on who can speak.
